Should Have, 2025

This piece lived several lives before what you see here, and that wasn't planned but rather the result of doubt. I kept questioning my direction, my skill level, and what the piece should become, hence the title. Every time I thought I had an answer, I painted over it. Fine details disappeared under new attempts.

What emerged is a record of that indecision. Cyan and yellow lines trace pathways that refuse to stay within their boundaries. White marks scrape the surface, as if a large brush of "wite-out" was applied. Layers of discarded choices sit beneath the final image because nothing ever fully disappears. It just adds on.
